Head to area where we picked up the air taser earlier.įollow the fires and you’ll come to an area with four enemies. When you get back, don’t go into the cave in yet. Fight your way through and head back to the cave in area. You’ll be attacked by parachuting enemies after this. There will be three enemies surrounding the fire near the boulder that had the H11 on it. Not the cave with the explosions.Īs you move through the cave, you’ll receive call saying Kowalski is under fire. This is the cave you followed soldiers through earlier. So kill some of the enemies and move forward by climbing up the ridges and head back to the cave that you used to originally enter this area. They will keep spawning until you advance. Keep running and there will be a cave in when you reach the exit.Īs you exit the cave, you’ll be under attack by enemies all around the area. When you reach the two soldiers in the cave, you’ll hear explosions. Go back through the cave you used to get here. You’ll hear Gabe say something in there and that will signal the map has been unlocked. There is a secret cave down here where an H11 can be found along with a map for multiplayer, if you’re interested. He will leave and an enemy will land behind you via parachute.īefore heading back, you can actually drop down and hang on the ledge of the gap in the middle of the area by holding and moving forward. Chance will give you the transponder locator. Keep going through the cave and you will eventually meet Chance. Continue through the cave and you’ll encounter two more soldiers. Hold and move forward and you’ll drop down to a ledge where you can find the air taser.įrom here, return to the cave where you were told Chance went in to. Go to the edge of the mountain next to that boulder. Go straight to the big boulder ahead of you. Go through the opening near the fire up on this ridge. There is a Flak Jacket case up here near the fire that you may need later. Just before the ridge is a box with a shotgun in it to the left.įrom the shotgun, climb up onto the ridge where that fire is by pressing. Speak to the soldier crouched on the ridge.įollow the two soldiers and a brief cutscene will play where you’ll be told Chance went into that cave.īefore going into the cave, head toward the fire that is up on a ridge. Once you’re on the ridge, head to the back near the ledge to find an M-16 in another box. There is an H11 up here in a box.ĭrop down from the ledge and speak to the soldiers huddled around the fire.Īfter speaking to them, turn around and for the ridge where another soldier can be seen crouched. Steer the parachute by pushing down on the left stick to glide over to the raised cliff up against where the group of soldiers is huddled around a fire. To begin this mission, you’ gain control of Gabe as he’s coming down in a parachute. Feel free to make use of this feature as often as you need while playing through the missions. There is no punishment for rewinding and it will not disable Trophies. You can essentially make this a trial and error system. You can press Options to rewind your gameplay and try whatever you did again. If at any point you die, mess something up or take too long. This makes the game incredibly easy to get through. Just like with the previous PS One classics, Syphon Filter 2 allows you to press Options and rewind gameplay as well as make saves anywhere. Peek out just a bit, and pick off enemies with headshots. You can make it so that you can see some of the enemy, but they can’t see you. Inch your way near a corner and hold to go into first person view. You can even take this to the next level and barely peek out around a corner to play with the perspectives. Slowly walk to the doorway or corner and swing the camera around as best as you can to take a look at what is waiting for you. So, stop when approaching doorways or corners. If you come around a corner too quickly, you may run right to your death in an ambush. When you’re rounding corners, there will almost always be an enemy or several waiting for you. Syphon Filter 2 likes to surprise attack you. While the game is mostly easy, there are some difficult sections. So, the guide below is a walk through of every mission in the game. The game itself is mostly easy, but some of the mission objectives can be a little tricky to figure out. So, a single playthrough from start to finish will earn you this Platinum. There are no collectible related Trophies or miscellaneous Trophies. There are 22 Trophies and they are all tied to completing the missions.
